The last year has gone by so fast,
and what a great year it was. While
this is my last newsletter note as the
Governor, I am excited to see the
new group of men stepping up to
take this lodge to the next level.
There are a great group of new men
on the board this year, while these
guys are newer to our moose I see
some great ideas from these guys. I
want to thank the board for all the
great help, without them this lodge
would be lost. My special thanks to
BJ. BJ is one of a few people I have
met at the Moose lodge which
inspires me to make our lodge a
better place. Thanks to the board
for all your efforts this year, we made
some very nice improvements to our
lodge. Make sure you come down
and see all the great things your
lodge has to offer. See you around
the lodge.

Hello Moose Members,
It’s newsletter time again and as usual we have a lot of upcoming events.
Wednesday, March 17th, we’ll be celebrating St Patrick’s Day at the lodge
with Corned Beef & Cabbage for dinner. Don’t miss this party! For membership
drive & appreciation, we’ll be giving away 125 draft beers (green or not)! To be
eligible for this special deal, you have to be a paid up Moose Member, or turn in
an application with dues and enrollment fee paid in full. That’s right...free
beer!!! Wayne & BJ will be playin’ music too, so put on your dancin’ shoes, and
something green and head to the lodge! Erin go bragh!
Calling all Moose Families...Friday, March 26th will be Moose Family Night.
The kitchen will be serving “kid-friendly” food (burgers, chicken strips, corn
dogs). Following dinner, we’ll be showing a movie. The kitchen will open at 5:
30...the movie starts at 7:00...and the snack bar will be open!
Friday, April 2nd is our Dessert Auction. Yes, Moose Members, it’s tax time
already...and as usual, we’ll be baking and bidding to pay ours. The variety of
desserts is always amazing, and we have the best auctioneer and team to ever
work a crowd! If you’ve never been to our Dessert Auction, you should check it
out...lots of friendly competition. We also welcome new bakers...bring your
dessert to the lodge by 6:30 that night, and watch the bidding frenzy! See you
there.
Saturday, April 24th we are having a Moose Dart Tournament. We will be
serving Pizza & Nachos. Sign up sheet at the bar...food & drink specials for dart
players.
We’re doin’ a special Wednesday drawing...here’s how it works. Place a
quarter in the big jar at the bar, write your Moose ID number on the slip of paper
provided by the bartender and put it in the raffle tumbler. We’ll be drawing out
Moose ID numbers every 30 minutes for free drinks during happy hour (4:00 - 6:
00). Plus, the last Wednesday of the month, we’ll draw on lucky Moose number
out for the money in the jar.
Remember to check your newsletter calendar for weekly events! There is
something happening every day at your lodge. Thanks to our awesome
volunteers, officers, and staff.

Hello fellow Moose Members,
This is my farewell letter to all of you.
I have really enjoyed my time as your
Senior Regent. I believe that we have had
a very good year because of the efforts of
Women of the Moose Board, contributing
members, and Lodge staff. Thank you for
your support and hard work.
We are off to a strong start this year. The
turnout for the Chili Cook-off and Super
Bowl Party were a really great. We are
looking forward to everyone participating in
the upcoming events. One important date
to remember is April 2nd, the date of our
annual Moose Dessert Auction. This is a
very important fundraiser, the proceeds of
which go toward paying the Lodge property
taxes. Please bring your favorite dessert,
your sweet tooth, or both and take home a
fabulous dessert.
As I leave this office, my first parting wish is
that more people would come out for the
Moose fun including: the exciting Moose
Races, delicious meals (try the awesome
Sunday Brunch and Friday Prime Rib), Bar
Bingo, and summer fun on the Patio.
My second parting wish is that more
women would participate in our Women of
the Moose meetings and functions.
Meetings are held the first and third
Wednesdays of every month at 7:00pm.
Come join your friends and get involved in
this fun and worthwhile organization.

Hey you Mooses!
Are you ready for Spring?...I’m actually more ready for Summer, because I
know how nice our Spring weather is around here. Oh well, if it’s rainin’ outside,
it’s a perfect time to head to the lodge. I still can’t believe that there aren’t more
people taking advantage of the food we’re servin’ here! Huuuuuge breakfast for
only $5, New York Steak for $13, Prime Rib for $16 (and none of these are small
portions)...not to mention the halibut and burgers too! Can you tell that our
dinner attendance has been a little down lately? Ok, enough whining...here’s
what we’ll do. Every Friday when you get your dinner, you’re name will go into a
drawing for a free dinner the following Friday. We’ll draw two names and post
them after dinner. If you’re not present, you can always call the lodge to see if
you’ve won, or come by later.
You better be here fast on St Patricks day if you want The Moose to buy
you a beer. Yes, we’re giving away the first keg to card carrying Moose
Members and those with paid in full applications. Live music, corned beef, and
traditional party atmosphere!
I hope you all come out for our semi-annual dessert auction. This is our
property tax fund raiser, and the lodge really needs the funds. The fun starts
right after dinner on April 2. The desserts we auction off are second to none...I
guarantee!
Make sure you really check this newsletter out for special events and
programs we’re running. Times are tough...they’re tough all over, and saving
money is on everyone’s mind these days. Our lodge has some of the best
things goin’ for the price….entertainment, meals, beverages, social
I’d like to take a moment to thank the outgoing board of officers for the fine
job they’ve done. They all deserve the appreciation of the entire membership.
